if im not mistaken the smuggler turned out to actually be RELATED to one of the prosecutors too

its curious how when your doing your job and you violate a drug smuggler's rights while hes shooting border patrol agents and smuggling 1million in weed across the border you goto prison for 11 years

but when your 'doing your job' and you violate the rights of a goat herder whos never been closer than 10000 miles from your country with torture devices for 7+ years you dont get in any trouble at all

been a while and I dont remember all the details of this.... but the agents were shot at?

Sure this story has the "somethings not right here" but weren't these guys convicted by a civilian jury?

i dont know all the details anymore either
but the doctors who examined the guy said the way the shot hit him suggests he was turning toward them (to fire according to the agents)
and the agents said he had a gun

any drug smuggler with that much drugs is going to be armed
he was armed when they caught him later
